Talent Collaborative

Welcoming Scott Teerlinck as Chair

The Fox Cities Chamber is excited to have the support of Scott Teelinck, CEO/President of Werner Electric Supply as he steps into the role as chair of the Talent Collaborative.

A message from Scott:

“We are privileged to work and live in an area with such a great quality of life, excellent schools, and friendly and helpful neighbors that are so supportive of one another. I feel truly fortunate to be part of this community, and could not be happier to call this HOME for both Werner Electric Supply as well as for my family. That being said, our company is facing challenges with employee recruitment. This is especially true for positions within our regional distribution center in Appleton and many of our warehouses across Wisconsin. As we share our challenges with other business leaders, we have learned that many others are facing similar challenges in finding and hiring employees for manufacturing, assembly, and construction jobs.

As we work to address this challenge at Werner Electric, we have recognized an equal opportunity to help other businesses in our area. More specifically, we have learned that providing a stronger and more effective linkage between local businesses and area high schools can make a significant difference for many of us. As a member of the FoxCities Chamber Board of Directors and chair of the Talent Collaborative, I am very excited to focus efforts to increase the outreach local businesses have within our area schools.

Through numerous discussions, we have learned that area school district Superintendents appreciate the increased visibility of jobs available to their students. They are also interested in having more opportunities for students to experience “real world” work settings, which will help students make career decisions prior to graduation.

I am excited to be part of the Talent Collaborative and believe we can help area businesses and area school districts alike with programs that are impactful and mutually beneficial.”
